Meanwhile somewhere across town, we see the rest of our heroes walking down a city street. They seem to have some equipment upgrades! Angelika boasts about her gloves of Dexterity and ring of protection and Emily talks about more spells being added to the spellbook. Rocky has a very different look now, but he doesn't seem to be going into it. Lenny's got some new gauntlets that apparently raise physical strength.
They apparently already knew of Julie donating some of her treasure share to a temple. Lenny did buy her a pair of Dexterity Gloves too, and potions. They have a discussion on why they didn't get her a Cloak of Charisma. Their reasoning seems sound, but what do the D&D gamers who read this comic think?

I'm assuming that, as usual, gold coins are the accepted currency in just about everywhere. But are there certain kingdoms or merchant republics that use there own currency? And if so, are they all also on the gold standard?
